Tomatoes
Tip #1
If you want to grow more tomatoes in a smaller space you can do this by growing your tomatoes vertically on strings. I have been testing this and have mixed results on the production of the plants so this year I am devoting time to see how they compare to growing them on the ground with supports.
I will say that you can definitely grow more tomatoes this way. I planted 10 tomatoes on strings in an area where I would normally grow 3 plants.
Tip #2
When you are planting your tomatoes you should remove the lower stems along the main stem. Dig the hole deep enough to plant the tomato up to the lowest leaves that you leave on the plant. If you look closely you will see little hair-like follicles all along the main stem these will produce roots once you bury the plant.
By planting your tomato deeper it will produce a stronger plant with an incredible root system to grow more tomatoes.
Tip #3
I like to muck in my tomato plants when planting to ensure the roots get a good start and do not risk drying out.
Tip #4
Every 7-10 days I spray my tomato plants with an aspirin spray to increase blossoming and fruiting once the plants have established themselves and are blossoming. This is something that can be applied to all nightshade plants such as peppers, and eggplants.
Tip #5
Pinch off the first few blossoms on your tomato plants so that the energy is sent to the plant which will produce more tomatoes for you.
By following these tips you will grow an incredible harvest of tomatoes that are full of flavor and will most likely be one of the largest crops you have ever grown.
Tip #6
Feed your plant every 2 weeks with an organic liquid fertilizer since tomato plants are heavy feeders.
Tip #7
Water your tomato plants consistently to avoid blossom end rot and improve the fruit to set on the plants.

Peppers
Tip #1
When growing Peppers you want to help them to grow a strong root structure, to do this I add a handful of rock phosphate in the bottom of the hole and place the plant directly on the fertilizer which will immediately kick-start the roots.
Tip #2
Pinch off the first few blossoms to allow the energy to go toward plant growth.
Tip #3
Once the plant has about 6 stems off the main stem pinch the top of the main stem, this will allow the pepper to produce a stronger bushy plant that will produce more peppers and a stronger plant that will support all the peppers you are growing.
Tip #4
Plant your peppers so that they receive 6 or more hours of direct sunlight but protect them from the late afternoon hot sun that can sunburn the peppers.
Tip #5
Use aspirin and baking soda spray once your peppers are established every 7-10 days to increase blossoming and pepper yield.
All Vegetables
Tip #1
Use companion plants to reduce diseases and pests that attack your plants.
Tip #2
Water consistently improves the health of your plants and increases yield.
Tip #3
Feed your plants regularly during the growing season with a liquid organic fertilizer that meets their needs.
Tip #4
Harvest regularly to keep the plants producing fruit, when you delay harvesting you are telling the plant to stop producing.
